An artist’s perspective
About my work
My work is built around the human figure, storytelling and atmosphere. I am drawn to people in moments of tension, change or stillness — when the outer world meets the inner one. In my paintings, I explore fantasy, symbolism and sensuality, often on the boundary between reality and imagination.
Painting is my way of capturing figures that seem to emerge from other worlds, dreams or memories. Sometimes they take the form of mysterious beings; at other times, they are women in everyday settings where light, music, architecture and a cinematic atmosphere come together.
Alongside painting, I also work in graphic design, illustration and comics. Storytelling matters to me in every form — whether it is a painting, a character, a book or a single glance that holds an entire story.
Book
Locus – Stínohra
A comic adventure about a reluctant hero who overcomes his fear and sets out to find a missing friend.
A story of suspense, mystery and personal growth for older children and adults.
Oskar is a solitary artist whose idea of adventure is getting clay under his fingernails while working in his studio. He is not one for grand challenges. That changes when his best childhood friend disappears during a car race from Europe to Lake Baikal.
Oskar overcomes his fear and sets out to uncover the truth. Join him on a perilous journey into the unknown, filled with adventure, hidden dangers and mysteries.
Commissions and collaboration
Collaboration
Alongside my independent art, I work on illustration, graphic design and commissions, and am gradually introducing high-quality canvas reproductions of selected paintings. Each project is discussed individually, according to its subject, scope and atmosphere.
Illustration
Illustrations, characters, atmospheric imagery and visual storytelling for books, comics or personal projects.
Graphic design
Visual concepts, graphic assets, posters, covers, print materials and other bespoke creative work.
Custom projects
Individual projects combining painting, illustration, graphic design and storytelling to suit your needs.
Canvas reproductions
For selected works, I am preparing high-quality canvas prints as a more affordable option for those who would like to enjoy my art at home without purchasing the original.
